I’m Amanda

Hi there— I’m Amanda Fernandez, a survivor of domestic violence and social change activist in the violence prevention and intervention field.

I'm passionate about inspiring others and transforming spaces, organizations and individuals to promote better violence prevention and intervention strategies for all humans.

Currently, you can find me in Austin, Texas, leading a team of advocates who are radically working to change outcomes for survivors who are experiencing family violence and child welfare systems.

With both lived and over 15 years of professional experience in the field, I’m confident that together, we can change the world—drop me a line and let’s chat!

Hello!

  • Amanda pushes me to be the BEST THAT I CAN BE. She doesn't let me settle for taking the easy way out, instead she makes me believe that I can do/ accomplish things that I didn't think I was capable of doing.

    Carrie, Advocacy Partner

  • Amanda has been an invaluable wealth of knowledge... she makes learning about emotionally complex topics approachable and safe for the learner.

    Amber, Public Service Partner

  • Amanda is very patient and helped ease my anxieties. I would still be homeless and in a much worse position without her.
